Restoration

Do you own a recent or less recent grand or upright piano which needs a facelift? You can call on Piano's Maene for all sorts of restorations and reparations. We are for example specialized in big restorations, where we remove the old case varnish and spray or polish the case, where we provide the piano with a new pinblock or where we restore the cracks in the sounboard. These are sweeping changes which take up a lot of time. On the other hand, you can also contact Piano's Maene for smaller reparations, such as touching up small damages of the case, reforming hammerheads, regulation of the action, etc.

The Chris Maene workshop is one of the benefits of Piano's Maene. From the very beginning of the business, the workshop has always been one of the main pillars. In het workshop all maintenance, restoration and tuning of the piano take place. Every day a strong team of workshop employees is busy with the restoration in honour of old keyboard instruments, the maintenance of new pianos and their construction. Every staff member fills a very specific post: the restoration of cases, the reparation of soundboards/pinblock, the intonation and regulation of pianos. This is necessary since every piano need a different approach. A piano of the beginning of the 20th century is constructed with different materials, and in a different way as a recent piano.
