Acoustic pianos equipped with a headphone system offer many advantages. They are full-fledged instruments, equipped with pedagogically sound, mechanical keyboards and a familiar acoustic sound production. Otherwise with a "digital piano module" they have the ability to produce a digital sound that finds its way to the player through the headphones.
In this way, the instruments in question are silent to the outside world. The pianist can therefore enjoy himself at all times and concentrate on his piano playing without being disturbed or disturbed.
If the silent system is also using the acoustic piano's soundboard as a "loudspeaker" to amplify electronically generated sounds, then we speak of a "transacoustic" system. Both Yamaha and Kawai can optionally equip some of their models with such system.
