The revolutionary Millennium III action features components made of ABS-Carbon, a high-quality composite of carbon fiber and ABS-Styran. The longer keys in the GL series ensure an even and responsive touch from front to back. Their extended length and rigid construction with longer key buttons provide optimal energy transfer. This gives you more power and control, with less effort.
The soundboard is essential for producing tone in a grand piano. The GL series uses only solid, quarter-sawn spruce with straight grain. Each soundboard is carefully tapered to ensure optimal resonance across all tonal registers. Only soundboards that meet the strictest resonance criteria are selected – delivering a rich, warm and vibrant tone.
The SOLID (Stretcher Over-Lap Integrated Design) construction creates an exceptionally robust frame capable of withstanding high string tension. The pinblock and stretcher bar are integrated into one solid structure, firmly anchored to the rim. This stable foundation supports a powerful tone and long-lasting tuning stability.
The GL series frame is manufactured using the advanced Vacuum Mold Process (V-Pro) with a unique “Crossbone Design.” This results in a particularly strong, stable and visually refined frame that withstands string tension without affecting tonal color.
