Nord Grand 2
The Nord Grand 2 uses the Kawai Responsive Hammer keyboard, with advanced 3-way sensors and 'ivory touch'. So, compared to the other Nord stage pianos, this instrument has much more of the authentic playing feel of an acoustic piano. The Nord Grand 2 offers all the features of the Nord Piano 5, but has the look of a traditional home piano. In addition, the Nord Grand features a whopping 2 GB of internal memory and a 1 GB sample memory.
Included with the Nord Grand 2 is the Nord Triple Pedal 2. The Nord Wood stand is not included in the price.

A grand piano experience
The Nord Grand 2 features an updated Kawai responsive hammered keyboard equipped with three sensors for accurate detection of every hammer movement. With added features such as two additional layers for Piano and Synth, the Nord Grand 2 offers unprecedented flexibility for both live performance and sound creation.
Performance
The Nord Grand has dedicated LED faders for each layer, as well as buttons and keys for all the essential functions needed in live performance. Functions such as creating Layers and Splits, adding effects or transposing the instrument can be done quickly and easily.
The dual Piano and Synth engines can be combined in a layer or split across the keyboard. Each layer has its own effect section.
The Nord Grand 2 has 7 Split Points indicated by LED lights, and the Split Point Crossfades offer smooth transitions between two split zones. Choose from 3 different crossfade widths (Small, Large or Off) as indicated by different LED colours.
Piano section
The Nord Grand 2 comes with an extensive collection of Grands, Uprights and Electric Pianos from our exclusive Nord Piano Library, combined with new features such as Dynamic Compression and Unison.
State-of-the-art sampling technology captures the extraordinary nuances and true character of source instruments. The unique 'Advanced String Resonance' and Dynamic Pedal Noise features provide stunning realism and unsurpassed expressiveness.
Synth section
Two independent Sample Synths with greatly expanded memory and a wide variety of new and updated sounds, ranging from horns, brass, strings, basses and guitars to classic analogue leads and basses. Also included is a selection of samples from ProjectSAM's Symphobia and Swing libraries.
The Sample Synth section offers two fully featured and independent layers and features intuitive controls for attack, decay/release and dynamic velocity response. The Soft and Bright settings offer a quick way to shape the tone of the sound.
The Grand 2 Sample synth engine offers several new features. Unison creatively blends different sample voices for rich, ensemble-like sounds, "Tru-Vibrato" accurately models the unique vibrato characteristics of a wide variety of wind, brass and string instruments, and round robin enables natural-sounding fast repeats.Vibrato is controlled by a knob, pedal or the preset delay setting. The Sample Synth section also has Mono and Legato modes with adjustable Glide rate.
Effect section
The Nord Grand 2 has a powerful new Effects section per Layer. The expanded range of Effects includes brand new types of Reverb, Delay, Amps and Modulation effects.
